Why Mosquitoes Cannot Transmit AIDS

The suggestion that mosquitoes are involved in AIDS transmission was initiated in the late 1980's by reports form a small community in southern Florida where the local population had a "higher on average incidence of AIDS”. However, scientific findings of the National Centers for Disease Control (CDC) clearly demonstrated that mosquito transmission of AIDS in that community appeared highly unlikely.
